Hi Folks,
I recently returned from Phoenix, AZ and the Alice Cooper Celebrity Golf Tournament. What an event. It all started on Saturday the 15th of April with a big dinner, an auction and a major jam session with Alice Cooper. Sunday afternoon we tee off at McCormick Ranch Golf Club. The weather was spectacular and the group I played with was very special. It was a great group. Well, not a great group but a good group. Not good in the sense they knew what they were doing but an average group. A little below average. WE SUCKED!!! I made my group one promise. I said, "We may not win this tournament but I can garantee, we will have more fun than anyone else here". "And if you don't play good, I can get 30 Hell's Angels out here in 20 minutes. You know, just for a team meeting". Well, they were a little shakey on the first tee but they picked it up and played pretty good after all. They really were a special group. As you can see from the photo, they looked like golfers, sorta.

From left to right: Ralph Marchetta. Ralph is the Director of Booking for America West Arena in Phoenix, home of the Phoenix Suns. Next is John Troglia. John is in corporate sales for the Arizona Diamond Backs baseball team. (Me, I had to have a hot dog) Then there's Brett Wojtulewicz. Let's just call him Brett. Brett is the Phoenix Suns Ticket Manager. And last but not least is Mark Fernandez. Mark is the Vice President of Community Affairs for the Arizonz Diamond Backs. Well, it looks like I'll never have a problem getting a ticket for the Phoenix Suns game or an Arizona Diamond Backs baseball game. Pretty cool, huh? Now I'm not going to mention any names, Ralph, but one of the guys was pretty excited that we were playing on grass. Thanks to all of you for a grea day on the golf couse. I look forward to doing it again.
We finished the tournament on Sunday. That was pretty cool too. I got to play with the chairman of the tournament, Chuck Savale. We had a great time together. After the awards, we all headed home. Thanks to Alice, Chuck and all the volunteers for all their hard work.
Well, it's getting pretty close to leaving time for the Kyle Petty Charity Motorcycle Ride Across America. I'll update everything when I get home. Meanwhile, I will be checking in with April at each stop and she will keep you posted on our progress. Again, thanks for your good thoughts and prayers of safety. Till I return, all my personal best and God Bless!
Mickey
