Hey Everyone, I thought you all might get a kick out of this. I was honored to attend the 73rd Annual Academy Awards ceremony last night, representing "The Last Real Cowboys". It was a milestone for the academy as it was the very last show from the Shrine Auditorium. Next year it will be at the new Kodak - Motion Picture Academy Theater in Hollywood. Here are my tickets to the award show. Enjoy!

Hey Everybody,

Time to check in and let you know what I've been up to lately. The main thing I wanted to tell you is about the motorcycle ride I hosted in Coco Beach, Florida at the end of February. I did the Mickey Jones Poker Run for charity. The charity is ARC (Association for Retarded Citizens). What a great group of folks. I have to thank Lisa Mazzarell. It was her idea for me to host the ride. It all stemmed from the Cal Dixon Celebrity Fishing Tournament that I did last year. We did a small ride then but this was the first, of I hope many, Mickey Jones Poker Runs for ARC.

The entire staff of ARC work tirelessly on the Mickey Jones Poker Run event. Ed and Linda also worked very hard arranging the ride itself. We did a VIP ride on Saturday, the 24th and the full blown ride was Sunday, the 25th. We rode roughly 100 miles for charity. The weather on Sunday was perfect. Saturday was a different story. My good friend, Keith Pope, came over from the gulf side of the state to help support me and the charity. Keith is the Director of Golf at Legends Golf Club. It is one of the 10 best courses in the country. Keith owes me a round and I will certainly take him up on that. Anyway Keith came over to Coco Friday night. He rode his Harley. Well, on the way to the Saturday ride, the bottom fell out of the sky. Keith was following me in a car over to Brien Trimmer's Lone Star Indian Motorcycle Dealership. I'm glad I was in the car. Keith pulled up on his bike and he was soaked to the bone. Later that afternoon, the rain quit but the damage had been done. Keith didn't dry out until Sunday afternoon. Sorry Keith.

I mentioned Brien Trimmer. Brien owns the Indian Motorcycle dealership in Rockledge, Florida. Brien out-fitted me on a brand new Indian Scout exactly like the one I ride at home. My hat's off to Brien and his entire staff at Lone Star for their support and friendship.

My old friend Bubba Baker was there to help support the ride as well. You may recognize Bubba from some of his film roles. He is a tattoo artist and a great guy. He and his wife rode the entire way with us and I thank them very much for that. Checkout Bubba's website at Bubba Baker Home Page There are some photos from the ride on his site as well.

To Lisa and the entire staff of ARC, Brien and his staff at Lone Star Indian Motorcycle, Keith, Bubba Ed & Linda and everyone connected with the event, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Till next time, all my personal best and God Bless!

Photo's from the event.

And Thank you April!
